Rookies Camp (Morning Session) March 16, 2026 - March 20, 2026

We're so excited to announce School of Rock West LA's amazing camp program! Camps are the perfect "amped up" version of our Performance Program, and it is our goal that each kid walks away with not just newfound musical abilities, but fantastic memories and friends as well! Here are the important details:

Please send your kids with a packed lunch and snacks. If any of your kids have allergies or special dietary needs, please let us know. Lunch will be taken from 11:30-12:30 daily. We will have activities planned during the meal break to give the kids a great brain break daily.

We encourage students to bring their own instruments as they will be more comfortable, but it is not mandatory. We have everything a rocker needs to have fun in camp! For example, if possible, guitarists should to bring an electric guitar/pick/strap, bassists a bass/strap, singers a microphone, and drummers sticks if they have their own. Again, we do have all necessary instruments and accessories at the school students may use, but they may be more comfortable on their own instruments and are encouraged to bring them. Everything else including amps and cables will be provided here at the School.

Here is what a typical day of camp looks like: Depending on the total number of kids, we will be splitting into students into groups of 3-6 performers rehearsing in two room simultaneously with a director each to help guide them. Our goal is for each student to learn 3-5 songs over the course of the week. Camps are a great chance to try a new instrument! We do limit drummers to make sure to limit instrumentation so all students have a chance to perform on their main instrument. Sometimes due to the ensemble nature of camps, we may encourage our campers to try a new instrument or part for a particular song as well. We will mix in games and activities to help gear students up for the performance along with instruction and rehearsals.

At the end of the week, the kids will perform a live rock concert Friday at 1:30 pm for friends and family live in our Sound City A room !

The set list will be decided Monday morning based on our curriculum and patented School of Rock Method after all the kids have been introduced to each other and the staff. We will do our best to gauge what the kids like most and what will help each of them progress the most as musicians.

Access for campers begins 1 week before the first day of camp.

Cancellation policy:

If you must cancel we require at least one week's notice in order to issue you a full refund. You will receive a 50% refund for any cancellations between 1 week and 24 hours before camp starts. We cannot issue any refunds of any kind for cancellations made within 24 hours of the start of the first day of camp. If SoR must cancel for any reason (ie low enrollment, staffing, etc.), you will receive a full refund immediately.
