Schedule a Makeup Lesson

OFFICIAL MAKEUP & CANCELLATION POLICY

We require 30 Days Notice for all plan cancellations. Monthly tuition covers 4 lessons/classes per month.

WITHOUT EXCEPTION, students are eligible to receive a makeup lesson under the following conditions:

1. We are given at least 24 hours notice by canceling online through your School of Rock Pike13 Client Portal. Note that only private 1-on-1 makeup lessons can be SCHEDULED online (email westla@schoolofrock.com to schedule group *Little Wing/Rookies/Rock 101* makeups), and there are no makeups for Performance Program rehearsals or Adult Performance Program rehearsals. NOTICE TO INSTRUCTORS DOES NOT COUNT.

2. ***MAKEUP LESSONS CAN NOT BE RESCHEDULED***

3. The student did not receive an average of 4 lessons and/or rehearsals per month over the course of an entire season. Over the course of an entire season (Spring, Summer or Fall/Winter) your total lessons and/or rehearsals should average 4 per month (For example, Fall/Winter season lasts 5 months from September through January, so we guarantee 20 lessons and or rehearsals over the course of that entire season). If, due to a holiday or other closings, you did not receive an average of 4 lessons and/or rehearsals per month over the course of a season, you will be issued a makeup lesson for those classes. These holiday closings usually surround national holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day), are determined at the beginning of each new season and are communicated in our seasonal newsletters or welcome letters. While you will never receive less than an average of 4 lessons/classes over the course of a season, you may receive more - at no additional cost.

4. The makeup is scheduled within 6 weeks (42 days) of the cancellation date. Due to scheduling constraints, the makeup may or may not occur on the same day of the week as your typical lesson and may be with a different instructor. After 42 days from the cancellation date, your makeup expires and can no longer be used. Makeup lessons must be for the same instrument as the missed (canceled) lesson.

5. Makeup lessons "owed" can only be delivered while a student is enrolled in an active plan, and under no circumstances can be counted as credits against payment owed for current or future services.

6. If for some reason SoR must cancel a lesson, we will immediately issue a makeup and do our best to provide at least 24 hours notice. Due to scheduling constraints, the make-up lesson may or may not occur on the same day of the week as your typical lesson and may be with a different instructor. Please note that our instructors are busy, professional, working musicians so if they are unavailable to work, we will provide a fully trained and qualified substitute instructor with lesson notes to ensure educational continuity.
